Welcome new visitors to Abundant Life Worship Center.
Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither.

Abundant Life’s Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Ghost, infallible, and has authority in all matters of faith and life.

II Timothy 3:16-17 | II Peter 1:20-21 | John 16:12-13 | Mark 13:31 | Acts 20:32

We believe there is one living God who chose to manifest himself in 3 persons the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, eternally coexistent and equal in deity power and glory.

Deuteronomy 6:4 | John 1:1,3 | Matthew 28:19 | II Corinthians 13:14 | Romans 1:19-20

God The Father

God, The Father, is infinite, holy, wise, powerful, and loving. He is infallible and is sovereign in all that shall come to pass. He involves Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who submit to Him through Jesus Christ

Luke 10:21-22 | Matthew 23:9 | John 3:16 | John 6:27 | Romans 1:7 | I Timothy 1:1-2; 2:5-6 | I Peter 1:3 | Revelation 1:6

Jesus Christ

He is God’s only Son who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth and sinless life. We believe in His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection in order to reveal God and redeem sinful man. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He intercedes for His people and His imminent return to earth.

John 1:1-2 | Luke 1:35 | Romans 5:6-8; 6:9-10 | II Corinthians 5:21 | I Timothy 3:16

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit came from the Father and Son to convict the world of its sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerating sinful humanity and indwelling, sealing, and empowering Christ’s followers.

John 14:6 | I Corinthians 3:16 | John 6:19 | Ephesians 5:18 | Galatians 5:22-26

Depravity of Humanity

We believe humanity was created by God in His own image, but due to Adam’s sin all have inherited a sinful nature and the result is separation from a holy God, totally depraved and incapable of any remedy of its lost condition.

Genesis 1:26-27 | Romans 3:22-23 | Ephesians 2:1-3 | Ephesians 3:12

Salvation is the gift of God to humanity in its lost condition to receive grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.

John 3:16-17 | John 14:6 | Romans 6:23 | Ephesians 2:8-10 | I Peter 1:18-19

The Church

The church “universal” and composed of all Christ’s followers for all time. The “local” church, consisting of believers of Jesus Christ who have been baptized for a genuine profession of faith in Christ, assembles for: worship; prayer; the fellowship of Christians; the observation of the sacraments; and the teaching of God’s Word.

Ephesians 2:19-20 | Acts 1:8 | Ephesians 5:19-21 | Acts 2:42 | Hebrews 10:23-25

Transformation In Christ

A Christ follower should live for the glory of God through the transformation of his or her heart, mind, community, and mission. As a servant to our fellow man, we should pursue conduct which exemplifies the character of God, be a faithful steward of what God has given us, and daily seek grow in Christ.

Mark 12:30-31 | Philippians 2:5 | Acts 2:42-47 | Matthew 28:19-20 | Romans 12:1-3 | Hebrews 12:1-2 | Colossians 1:9-10 | John 14:15-24

The Ordinances

Jesus Christ commissioned two ordinances for the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper (communion). We believe baptism is a step of obedience to publicly proclaim faith, taken by one after they have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord. The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for the remembrance of His death. These two ordinances should be observed until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:18-20 | Romans 6:3-5 | I Corinthians 11:23-26

The Last Things

We believe in the visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom, and the bodily resurrection of those who are followers of Christ. There will be a final judgment which will lead to the eternal joy of the righteous in Christ and the endless suffering of the wicked that are apart from Christ.

Matthew 16:27 | Mark 14:62 | John 14:3 |  Acts 1:11 | Philippians 3:20 | I Thessalonians 4:15 | II Timothy 4:1 | Titus 2:13 | I Corinthians 4:5 | II Thessalonians 1:7-10 | Revelation 20:4-6 | Revelation 20:11-15
